Job stability helps them get and keep homes. You can help!
Drop off your gently-used business-style clothing by Wednesday, April 24.
For men: suits, dress pants, shirts, shoes, belts, socks, and ties.
For women: pant suits, skirts, tops, jackets, shoes, stockings or trouser socks, accessories, belts, jewelry, purses, makeup
Drop off sites:
Lakes and Prairies Community Action Center
Family Service Center , 715 11th St N
Southeast North Dakota Community Action Agency
3233 S University Drive (parking entrance by Hornbachers)
We also need volunteers to help in the clothing closet on Tuesday April 30 (afternoon setup) and on Wednesday May 1 (help guests find outfits, rehanging garments, etc). Sign up using the online volunteer form.
The people using the closet and attending the event are many of the same people who have been guests in the churches this winter. The guests and the service community thanks you!
Project Community Connect is a service fair that connects homeless and precariously housed people with the full gamut of social, health, and education services. The 2nd Chance Career Fair helps people with barriers to employment access employers directly. Haircuts and the clothing closet are among the services we are offering that help them prepare to be interviewed.
